What is the fee to participant in this program?

This program is FREE to participant therefore the application process is very competitive.

I am from California, is housing available?

We provide free housing to all participating ACSEP Tier I students throughout the program.

Do we receive credit for the courses taken?

No, the courses are designed for exposure purposes.

How long is the program?

The program is a 5 week residential program.

Will participating in this program guarantee acceptance into a program at Howard University?

The NWDP staff at Howard University is willing to assist any participant of our programs with admission. Assistance does not guarantee acceptance, however, it will assist you with needed information for acceptance. Please go to the "students" tab and complete the necessary request form.

I work part-time and may need to miss a class or two, is this allowed?

No, this is not allowed. Students participating in our program will receive a stipend for participating in the ACSEP Tier I program. The stipend is only given to those that attended our program in its entirety.

I am still undecided on my exact major, can I still apply for the program?

Yes. The program is designed to expose you to various careers in STEM and healthcare. This would be a great opportunity to get to learn more about different possibilities.
